Originally released in 1962, “Monk’s Dream” is the first LP Thelonious Monk released on Columbia Records in 1963. The Monk Quartet here consist of on the tenor sax Charlie Rouse, on the bass John Ore and on the drums Frankie Dunlop and of course the man himself on the piano. This CD version includes four bonus tracks. The bonus tracks are different takes from “Monk’s Dream’, ‘Body & Soul’, ‘Bright Mississippi” and “Blue Bolivar Blues’.*
