Look Out! is the second album by Turrentine and features his earliest recordings as a leader on the Blue Note label. He is joined by Horace Parlan (on piano), George Tucker (on bass), and Al Harewood (on drums). Among the highlights here are the pretty ballad “Journey Into Melody” and the gently funky “Little Sheri’.* Including the two bonus tracks “Borderline” and “Rastus’.* The album was recorded in 1960 at the Van Gelder Studio, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. “Look Out!” shows as much artful restraint as it does Groove.
